What I do
Ceremonies are an important part of all cultures. Weddings and funerals are the most common, but the birth of a child, blessing of a home, reflection after divorce, birthday milestone and renewal of vows are also ways we use ceremonies to mark events in our lives. The list is endless.
MY ROLE IS TO HELP YOU CREATE A CEREMONY WHICH REFLECTS YOU, YOUR HOPES FOR THE FUTURE AND ANY CUSTOMS WHICH ARE IMPORTANT IN YOUR FAMILY.
I have 40 years experience as a lay leader in the Christian church and this experience allows me to feel quite relaxed when conducting any ceremony. I have been a marriage celebrant for 18 years and have conducted over 230 weddings in that time, as well as funerals, naming ceremonies and renewals of vows.
I hope you’ll find in me someone you can trust for this part of your day; someone who can bring to the ceremony a balance of the formality necessary and the informality that allows you and your guests to feel relaxed.

ABOUT ME
I am 66, I have four daughters, four sons-in-law, five grandsons and five granddaughters.
My husband and I have lived in Hanmer for 13 years after being on the family farm in Waiau for 31 years, now living in our owner-built straw bale home.
